Microdialysis from A to Z

Microdialysis Tubing & 3 Way Joints

Microdialysis Teflon® Tubing (JT-10)

  • 0.1 mm ID
  • Solvent is not required to connect tubing. Each end reinforced with stainless steel tubing.
  • Preattached Byton Connector makes it easy to connect to a microdialysis probe or another Teflon® Tubing.
  • Standard size of JT-10 is 50 cm with 4 µl internal volume. This volume does not include the space of the Byton connector.
  • Custom sizes are available.
  • Chemically clean. No ghost peaks are confirmed with each Eicom analytical application.
  • FEP tubing (JF-10) is available with 0.25 mm ID for push-pull methodology.

Byton Connector (JB-30)

  • 0.3 mm ID x 2.0 mm OD 1 m
  • for the replacement of the JT-10 preattached.

Microdialysis 3 Way Joint (JY-33)

  • Used for mixing the internal standard after the microdialysis probe
  • Inside of the stainless tubing is a fused silica tube with a 0.075 mm ID
  • Minimum internal dead volume is 2 µl

Switching Valve (SI-60)

-four port valve, 2 to1 syringe selector.

This product works as a syringe selector and internal dead volume is zero. The SI-60 allows you to switch the perfusate for a single microdialysis line between two different syringes containg solutions such as control aCSF and a drug containing aCSF. If you change the line of microdialysis tubing without using valve induced back pressure on both lines, the internal pressure of the microdialysis will drop and the actual flow rate inside the microdialysis probe can be virtually zero for a few minutes. The SI-60 prevents this issue. Please connect the same length and inner diameter of tubing with microdialysis line to the common out port of SI-60.
