Glucose Sensors
Glucose oxidase is immobilized on a platinum-irridium electrode. The lowest detection limit is at 3.5 µM. Sensitivity is at nA/µM. The sensor is independent of the variations in ascorbic acid and oxygen concentrations found in the brain. It does not perform under anoxic conditions, but can be used under mild hypoxia. Stable measurements can be made for 2-3 months after implant. Reference and counter electrodes are required. Product Sheet

Nitric Oxide Sensors
Works for in vivo monitoring of nitric oxide. Nafion coated platinum-iridium electrode with a 175 μm OD. The patented method of coating the sensors with Nafion reduces interference from ascorbic acid and others to negligible levels. Only small gaseous molecules can pass the membrane. The sensors have a sensitivity of approximately 1.5 nA per µM dissolved NO. This allows concentration changes of <6 nM to be resolved with our combined sensor/potentiostat system. Oxygen Sensors <Type 1/CPE>
The measuring surface (Φ200 µm ) consists of a carbon paste electrode (CPE) and is inert to fouling. It allows for more than 6 months of sustained, stable oxygen measurements once implanted. Dissolved oxygen can be measured reliably over the full physiological range. The resolution of our electrodes is approximately 1.5 nA/µM dissolved oxygen at -900 mV. The type 2 is constructed of a platinum/iridium wire that is coated with a polymer layer and has a shorter life span (4-6 weeks) when implanted in vivo.
